Mike "Fulton Reed" Arthur

Born in Rochester, NY and nicknamed "M'arthur", he is regarded as the best player of his era and has been called "the greatest handball player ever" by sportswriters, players, coaches, and fans. Along with his many awards and achievements, he is the only player to ever have his playing number, 87, officially retired across the entire National Handball Association.

Identified as a handball prodigy at a very young age, Arthur regularly played at a level far above his peers. He became a full professional at the age of 17 in the World Handball Alliance, leading to a long career in the NHA. He set 40 regular-season records, 15 playoff records, 6 All-Star records, won four Meehan Cups with the Ducks, and won 9 MVP awards and 10 scoring titles. He is the only player ever to total over 200 points in a season (a feat that he accomplished four times in his career). In addition, he tallied over 100 points a season for 15 NHA seasons, 13 of them consecutively.

In 2006, he retired to a chateau in the Swiss Alps, where he now lives in solitude. This has led to speculation that his seclusion is due to a fear of being outed while eligible for Hall of Fame consideration, but, contrary to popular belief, M'arthur is not gay. He will, however, openly admit to a man-crush on Heath Ledger, who he considers "dreamy."
